The tour is officially over. Though I still am living out of a suitcase in my own home, everything’s back to the way it was. So, on to the next project.

Right now, Chaz Knapp and I are finally making real progress on a project that’s been rolling around in our heads for almost a year. I don’t want to give away too many details about whats coming, but I can say it will be much different from anything I’ve ever done before. Hopefully, it will be released before the end of the year.

Despite being a zombie, Bruxelles was a beautiful city and a great evening. Lots of Italians. Now in Paris, trying to get back a little energy for the final show tonight.

All of these shows have been incredible. There’s not enough space on the interenet to list all of the names and how grateful I am. So to those of you who have hosted a show, fed, sheltered, drank, came to a show or spoke English with me as I hung out in the corner. Thank You

I hope to see everyone again soon.

We’re heading to Bruges (Belgium) today which is something I’ve been looking forward to since the beginning of the tour. At the moment, I don’t want to go because it means there are only three shows left – I fly back May 2. I’m grateful for the people I’ve met and still have yet to meet. I’ve been very encouraged with the support that’s been shown at all of the shows. It’s revived my energy to continue on as I head home and step back into the process of writing for the next full-length.

Already looking forward to coming back and seeing these friends again.

It is hard to describe how well things are going without sounding like I’m simply sugar-coating the trip. These past few days have surreal. Took the train to Nantes last Wednesday for a session at Prùn Radio, then afterwards ate steak tartare (uncooked) for the first time, delicious. Got to see a lot of Nantes the next day, including a 30 foot tall mechanical elephant. Then took the train back to Paris for a show and then drove back to Nantes for a show. Both of which couldn’t have gone better. Thanks to our hosts Juancarlos in Paris and Johann, Regis and Emily in Nantes. Looking forward to going back.

Right now we’re in Bordeaux, Jeremy’s making more CDs while I rot my brain with interweb gossip.

Today, Jeremy  (of Camaraderie Limited) and I are finishing up another batch of the Despistado EP. Some tedious activity to keep our brains moving on the day off.

Yesterday was the “secret show” / video session in Paris. It went well despite breaking a string before the last two songs. Big thanks to everyone who came to hang out and listen. Especially Cyril and Juancarlos who filmed the afternoon.

This Wednesday (April 11), will be another radio show in Nantes. Back to Paris for a show Friday, then we’ll officially hit the road after that. Looking forward to seeing more of France, Belgium and Switzerland.

We’ll be posting all the pictures from the tour in a photo album on the Camaraderie Limited facebook page.

Landed in Paris last week. Drank some fine wine, ate cheese and all the good stuff. So far there has only been one show which was the radio session last night for Planet Claire. I spend most of my days wandering around the city, acting like I’m headed somewhere more important. I’ve also taken to scowling at tourists.

At the moment, I’m eating left over sushi and soaking in the Bob Dylan exhibit that was at the Citè de la Mùsique. Funny to see his lyrics and old interviews translated to French. I knew what they said so I mostly looked at the pictures and watched the videos that were playing, waiting to laugh at parts until the rest of the crowd could catch up with the subtitles.

Sunday, there is a show on an abandoned railway. There will be video of that to come.

French spell check is the worst, telling me everything I’ve written is spelled wrong.

Leaving to Paris tomorrow reminds me of leaving for Spain a few years ago. What was on my mind, what songs were ringing in my ears. What’s changed, what hasn’t. Just like anyone would be, I’m romanticizing my time to come in Europe.

Reality sets in when I think about spending all of Friday in the Miami airport and then flying the red eye into Paris…

It’s all worth it.

Life after SxSW is always a strange adjustment. Your nerves are shot from staying up late in the hustle of the city. Drinking a couple gallons of coffee as your body tries to prepare for the next day. But it has past and I’ve moved on to a short stint crashing in Louisville, Ky. Looking back, I want to thank Charles and Sam for shredding with me. Also Dave Greenwald of Rawkblog, Carter Smith of Rollo & Grady and Crash Ave. for hosting great shows. Glad I had the opportunity to play and hope to do it again next year.

Tonight’s the first show in Louisville at Headliners Music Hall and my first show in Kentucky in almost 2 years. Looking forward to it.  Louisville is probably one of the more peaceful places you could be this time of year. Glad I get to spend some time before I take off again.

We’re adding a show in Bloomington, In – not sure of the date yet.

Keep your eyes peeled for a new video!
